How?

   - The process of how I made this art was by scratching off the black paint in certain areas to show an image that  expresses man vs. nature. I used oil pastel to make a base for the painting. I tried to put a variation of colors to show a difference in coloration. My planning of what to draw is by thinking on what nature is. The first immediate idea was for me to draw flowers because that was what I though about nature. For the man part, I was thinking of just putting a man's hand, but to show a bit more or expression, I decided to use a skeletal hand.I was also inspired by the Japanese cloud drawings that I found online, so I decided to put in the drawing.

What?

    - My type of drawing is a somewhat imaginative and surreal. I tried to give a slight addition of a cartoon style drawing just to show the simplicity and pattern that I am trying to give off. My intention of this drawing is to show how graceful nature can be and yet how scary humans can be to nature. My drawing is abstract and surreal because you won't be seeing a skeletal hand, interesting looking clouds, and such roots in real life.

Why?

    - I chose each component of this drawing to show how I view man vs. nature. Although it doesn't seem like there is a lot going on, I do believe that I show some difference between the man and nature. On the left side of the drawing, the colors of the hand is more of a dark and brownish color. On the right side, you see that the colors are much more colorful. This is showing a slight differentiation in the side of man and the side of nature.
